Our Little Trooper

About a week and a half ago our puppy went into the vet to have her teeth cleaned. This process requires that the dog be put under anesthetic throughout the procedure. To ensure that the animal stays warm, heating pads are placed in various spots on the body. The day after the procedure, we noticed a blister forming on Chloe's belly. When we brought her back to the vet we were informed that she must have been burned by the heating pads (uncommon but known to occur).

A few days ago, another blister appeared in the same area, encroaching on the first one so she had to make another visit to the vet. This time, she was placed on more aggressive medication, the area wrapped up and a cone added to her noggin. Upon returning from a business trip last night we noticed that she was very uncomfortable (turns out the feeling in the burned nerve endings was likely coming back causing major discomfort), so we took her back this am where she got a diaper-styled wrapping as you can see here.

Our cute, yet pathetic, little trooper rests the day away...
